The 2003 Celebration of Walt Disney Art Classics pre-order brochure and order form mailed on Friday March 7th from Celebration, Florida via first class so registered guests of the event should be receiving the full color brochure featuring the event merchandise very shortly. It's encouraged for registered event guests to make their selections and send in their pre-orders promptly given the low edition sizes of many of the releases. Merchandise Pre-Ordering: Disney Event Services requests that registered guests who wish to pre-order merchandise should turn in their orders by April 1, 2003 to make the first selection process. Walt Disney Art Classics also plans to have Kent Melton pre-sign all "Hooray for Captain Pan!" sculptures which are pre-ordered by registered guests. Disney Event Services will also maintain a "wish list" for guests who will not be able to participate on the Cruise event or at Public Day. For guests interested in the event merchandise who will not be able to attend, they can contact Disney Event Services at 407-827-7600 regarding "wish list" inquiries, of course subject to merchandise availability. For any guests still interested in registering for and attending the 2003 Celebration of Walt Disney Art Classics event aboard the Disney Cruise Line, please check with Disney Event Services at 407-827-7600 as spots may open due to cancellations on a daily basis subject to availability, first come, first served. After four years of land-locked fun in Florida and California, the 2003 Celebration of Walt Disney Art Classics seeks to "Discover Uncharted Magic" as they invite you to set sail for "A Disney Adventure on the High Seas" May 15-18, 2003 aboard the Disney Cruise Line. The Seven Seas have served as a backdrop for some of Disney's most spectacular films and attractions such as Peter Pan, 20,000 Leagues Under the Sea, The Little Mermaid along with Pirates of the Caribbean and It's a Small World.
Here are just a few of the exciting events in store for those planning on setting sail aboard the Disney Cruise Line for the 2003 Celebration of Walt Disney Art Classics: An Informative & Fun Walt Disney Classics Collection Concept Drawing Class. Walt Disney Classics Collection Sculpture Unveiling and Retirement Ceremony. A Special 10th Anniversary Celebration of the Walt Disney Collectors Society. Plus many more 'surprises' to bubble up during the event.
Walt Disney Art Classics is proud to introduce an all-new series of sculptures -- 300 of each sculpture pictured above will be available to convention guests in a special backstamp version at the 2003 Celebration of Walt Disney Art Classics event. These are the first Walt Disney Classics Collection releases based on characters from the 'it's a small world' attraction. For those unable to attend, these irresistible doll-like children will be available as an open edition release as well. Click on image above for more details. Would also like to thank Sheryl aka Maleficent for images sent to us of a close-up shot of Captain Pan and images of Captain Pan and the Small World Children (click on this link) for size comparison. Thanks Sheryl!!
