As soon as this duo of hired dunderheads comes on screen
you know that even their most cunning machinations will come to naught.
It is not that they lack brain-between them they probably have one-but that the
wrong man is in charge.

Jasper reckons that he is definitely the intellect of the pair and Horace
is happy to accept this, which is his big mistake.  In fact, every time plump
and shambling Horace succeeds in completing a brilliant deduction,
the lanky, doleful Jasper promptly overrules him.
